After stirring for 3 hours at room temperature, the DCM was removed in vacuo, then a solution of N- (thien-2-ylmethyl) -1H-pyrazol-3-amine (3.17g, 17.7mmol, 1.2 equiv.) in DCM (15 mL) was added, the mixture was heated under nitrogen in a 110 oil bath for 17 hours to set up the reaction under nitrogen but to evaporate all DCM to give a pure reaction mixture, the resulting residue was dissolved in DCM, extracted once with water, dried over magnesium sulfate, then partially purified on a 340 g silica column (20% to 80% EtOAc/hexane), the fraction containing the desired product was concentrated, then dissolved in EtOAc (30mL) and heated in an oil bath to 47 , then pentane (50mL) was added, the solution was then cooled in a-20 refrigerator for 2 hours, the precipitate was collected by filtration, 2.53g of material of approximately 99% purity were obtained
