The Rhythm is Gonna Get You - collage and acrylic on canvas board - 18" x 24" union flag the background is representative ofThe Rhythm is Gonna Get You is inspired by my love of music and started life as a collage of my favourite song lyrics. I was unsure where to go with this artwork so it was left for a while until I started to create artworks with sweeping arcs of colour, then it clicked that these curving lines were reminiscent of the flow and rhythm of music. After applying a broken blue background a series of waves and curves were added and the piece was complete.
